For the second year running, IT resellers in South Africa have voted Molex Connected Enterprise Solutions the best cabling vendor in the annual Channelwise Awards.
Channelwise is a leading magazine for IT resellers in Sub-Saharan Africa. Their annual survey of vendors and distributors is in its tenth year, drawing nearly 2,000 resellers from across the region to vote across a range of categories. For the second year running, Molex Connected Enterprise Solutions has come out top for the category of Cabling Vendor, drawing 29.7% of the vote.
Sub Saharan Africa faces unique challenges, which have only been exacerbated by three years of uncertainty. COVID-19, geopolitical turmoil and supply chain issues have made life tough for network infrastructure professionals and the businesses that desperately need better connectivity. But the market remains optimistic, with 52% of businesses expecting significant investment in network technology and 31% in data centers in 2023. According to the survey, nearly 90% of resellers are confident their businesses will do better in 2023. Google’s Equiano subsea fiber optic cable landed earlier in 2022 and others from Meta and 2Africa are due to connect in 2023, which should improve data speeds across the region.
Molex Connected Enterprise Regional Sales Manager for Sub Saharan Africa, Kevin McDonald, commented,
“We are really pleased to have been voted number one for the second year. Through some very tough trading conditions we have worked hard to support our installers and provide the tools and training they need. Reliable IT connectivity is essential for businesses to be able to flourish and there is an urgent need for better network infrastructure across the region. Our goal is to enable our resellers to deliver tier one, high quality cabling products that will provide that connectivity for many years to come.”
